2008 Pieve di Santa Maria Maddalena, Invillino – Villa Santina (UD)
Restoration project of the Pieve of Invillino, Villa Santina
The restoration project includes the respectful conservation of structures and artworks from humidity, the complete replacement of the roof covering, structural interventions on the portals, reconstruction of wooden and bronze doors, and replastering of the façades highlighting the traces of eighteenth-century extensions. The works also involved the revision of floorings with new finishes, the repositioning of the suspended pulpit, and the conservation of capitals, cornices and interior artworks.
Additionally, the building was upgraded to meet current regulations, including the removal of architectural barriers and the installation of lighting, anti-theft, sound and grounding systems, ensuring full compliance with contemporary functional standards.
The objective was to restore the pieve to its eighteenth-century appearance, recreating the architectural identity of its period of greatest splendour.
