Architecture as a balance of knowledge, material and vision.

ABOUT ME

From university to the construction site: my education

My journey began in the halls of the University of Florence, where I studied architecture starting in 1994.
Then came Venice: IUAV, a place far more than a school, a crossroads of thought, experimentation and form. It was there that I graduated in 2001.

In 2003, I opened my studio in Udine: a laboratory where theory and practice merge, and where every project takes shape through genuine dialogue with both the client and the context.

In 2008, I earned a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Udine. This also marked the beginning of an ongoing collaboration with the research world, particularly in applied architectural technology, design, and sustainability.

From detail to whole

I design spaces, not trends.

I am not interested in following fleeting fashions.
My work looks elsewhere, toward coherence, the identity of place, and long-term durability.
Whether restoring a historic building, rethinking an interior, or enhancing a landscape, every decision is guided by a clear and structured vision.

My method: Vitruvius as a compass

My projects are grounded in the three principles that Vitruvius identified over two thousand years ago as the foundations of architecture:

  • Firmitas: structural and conceptual solidity

  • Utilitas: functionality, ergonomics, and ease of use

  • Venustas: beauty born from the balance between form and meaning

These are not abstract ideas: they are the concrete basis on which I build every space.

From industrial design to public architecture, from furniture elements to conservation restoration, each project is conceived as a coherent system, designed to endure and to be lived in.

What sets me apart

Each project emerges from the integration of multiple disciplines and skills — a multidisciplinary approach that brings together architecture, design, technology and research.
My experience bridges academia and professional practice, uniting theory with execution, vision with practicality.

I oversee every phase of the process with tailored precision, from the initial concept to final construction, ensuring consistency and attention to detail throughout.

I firmly believe in the cultural and environmental identity of places: every space must engage with its context, respect it, and enhance it.

The relationship with the client is an ongoing dialogue. Only through this collaboration can a project truly succeed — responding to real needs, inspiring those who inhabit it, and standing the test of time.
