2011-2012 Survey and graphic documentation of the Mortegliano Cathedral (UD)
Architectural, technological and structural survey of Mortegliano Cathedral
An in-depth survey of the architectural features, construction technologies and structural system led to a comprehensive understanding of the Archpriestal Cathedral of Mortegliano dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul, designed in 1864 and characterized by the Neo-Gothic architecture of the Udine-based architect Andrea Scala.
The survey provides the essential information required for accurate planning of future restoration works and interventions on the religious complex.
Works currently underway include the safety measures for the high-level maintenance routes and the restoration of portions of the roof. A new domotic lighting system has also been designed.
