2013–2014 Church façade and entrance stairway, Trasaghis (UD)
Restoration project of the façade and entrance stairway of the Parish Church of Santa Margherita Vergine e Martire in Trasaghis
An emergency intervention on the Parish Church which, built between 1994 and 1997, presented dangerous finishes at risk of collapse. After promptly securing the area with barriers and temporary supports, the existing façade cladding in “Rosa di Verona” marble and the stair coverings were removed.
The façade was then recomposed through the installation of new Pietra Piasentina stone slabs and lime-based plaster with light pink pigmentation. The architectural composition follows the dimensional rhythm of the original façade, highlighted by the careful juxtaposition of stone joints. The entrance stairway was entirely rebuilt in Pietra Piasentina stone.
