2011 Competition, Historic Centre of Illasi (VR)

Competition for the design of a historic centre with road systems, urban spaces and public-use buildings.

“A town without a centre has no identity” was the guiding theme of the project. The proposal for redefining the urban core develops through a sequence of evocative perspectives, generous open spaces and articulated pathways paved with red Verona stone slabs. Integrated within the new urban fabric are an amphitheatre and a multifunctional building, conceived as focal points for collective life.
